AVIOVISION deploys AVIOBOOK
AvioVision N.V. signed a contract with Danish Air Transport (DAT) to provide their AVIOBOOK™ EFB Software for DAT‘s Class 2 devices to be installed on the entire fleet. 2 MD-80‘s are already installed with Navaero class 2 units and are planned to be fully operational in September with a complete software suite containing Library, Reporting, Weight & Balance, Briefing and Operational Flight Plan. The fact that Danish Air Transport is an Air Support Customer for flight planning and crewbriefing will speed up the integration and implementation effort and shortens DAT‘s roadmap to an entirely paperless flight deck. Over the next coming months a suitable hardware solution will be selected for 13 ATR aircraft and following this decision, the AVIOBOOK™ EFB Software will gradually be implemented on the entire ATR fleet.
AvioVision N.V. and AIR SUPPORT A/S of Billund - Denmark, the creator of the well established PPS Flight Planning and CrewBriefing System solutions have teamed up and established full two-way data connectivity between the PPS Flight Planning & CrewBriefing system and the AVIOBOOK™ EFB Software.
Flight crews now have the opportunity to use a dynamic and updated flight folder in the flight deck, containing live OFP and smart, color-coded flight briefing data linked directly with the PPS Flight Planning & CrewBriefing system.
Operators wanting a One-chain IT System solution which links their present booking/scheduling/crew system with the PPS Flight Planning System and their EFB solution will find that the combination of the PPS Flight Planning System and the AVIOBOOK™ EFB software represent the long wanted true and complete next generation integrated solution. Users who do not subscribe to the PPS Flight Planning & CrewBriefing system but implement the AVIOBOOK™ EFB software, can still get the aeronautical data services from AIR SUPPORT through AVIOBOOK™ since both Companies have a bi-lateral supply agreement.
